Welcome to WARRNAMBOOL, population 35,000,
and 265 Km west of Melbourne on the
Princes Highway at the western end of the Great
Ocean Road, the beautiful "Shipwreck Coast".
Birthplace of Nobel Prize winner Sir John
Eccles. First European settlement in the 1840s and became
major entry point to the colony in the Gold Rush of the 1850s. Transport - daily train and bus services from
